I am Nicaraguan, 58 years old, musician, lawyer and peridodista and author of a book on
The origins of electronic music in Nicaragua. I can clarify with all
Security that the Bwana group is one hundred percent Nicaraguan. The disc was not
Recorded in Colombia, but in San José, Costa Rica, in 1972 by CBS, which
Surely authorized its edition in some Colombian branch and from there the error.
Bwana traveled to Bogota at that time to give a couple of concerts, also to
Panama. The guest to the recording is not Danilo Amador (founder), but Ricardo
Palma, the author of "Lolita" and a local legend within the scope
Musical nicaraguan. I hope I have given some light in this matter, because it is
The second time I see the comment that places him as a Colombian group. Moreover, there is another posterior LP of the same group, although not
Had the international acceptance of the first.

Evolution « . Fans de Mandrill, Kool & The Gang (1ère époque), Funk

Joe Cocker- With a Little Help From My Friends ( 1969 )
One of the best soul & rock albums ( not real album in youtube )
Joe Cocker Was destined to be a legend when the drug took a lot of
potential to this great singer, is an artist who won in the 80

Fans of the exquisite, often never-before-released funk championed by
Now Again Records are no stranger to Amnesty. Based in Indianapolis in
the early 1970s, the group released only two obscure 45s in their
recording career. Birthed from the same scene as the Ebony Rhythm Band
(Soul Heart Transplant – NA 5011), Amnesty had a poltical edge similar
to LA Carnival (Would Like To Pose A Question – NA 5009) and the hardest
brass section since The Kashmere Stage Band (Texas Thunder Soul – NA
5023).
This previously unreleased anthology comes from the same sessions as “Free Your Mind”. In 1973 Amnesty recorded five hard, vocal funk numbers alongside some ballads and a handful of demos based around nothing more than guitar accompaniment. Only two songs were ever released; Amnesty’s biting, difficult-to-categorize prog/rock/soul/funk stretched far beyond Indianpolis’s bounds and the band didn’t have a label to take them to the next level.
Obviously influenced by, but by no means simply imitators of, the sound of early Parliament and Funkadelic, Amnesty also responds to the grooves of Earth Wind and Fire and Sly and The Family Stone in their own way. Finally made available thirty three years after they were recorded, these songs are funk arranged with dangerous complexity and performed with precision – arguably the most unique funk to originate from Naptown, and some of the best music of its kind

Billie was a Venice Beach street musician and saxophonist in the Pan
Afrikan Peoples Arkestra. He started playing saxophone at age 14 — he
was born in Laurel, Mississippi, February 15, 1937. He had been close
friends with the bebop master Little Bennie Harris (no relation). In the
middle-70s he was director of the AZZ IZZ jazz club in Venice, and just
prior to these sessions he had been ordained a minister. He was 43
years old at the time of these Nimbus West sessions.
