All themes Arranger and conducted: Riley Hampton, except for the theme Don't Take Your Love From Me (Arranger and conducted by: the jazzman Burgess Gardner)
Riley Hampton was arranger among others of Barbara Lewis, Etta James, Gene Chandler.
Produced: Harvey Fuqua (that of the great group of doo-woop The Moonglows and husband of Etta James)
Anne Bogan (Challengers, Marvelettes) Melvin and Leslie Wilson (New Birth).
Fabulous soul gospel album that is one of the great classics of the genre and one of the best albums in history. With some theme (especially the first) with much gospel.
Piece of forgotten American soul that did not have the success it deserved despite the fact that the album was distributed by one of the majors (RCA) with the best distribution and propaganda capacity of the time.
All are great themes, exceptional are: Love Is Stronger Far Than We, You've Got To Be The One For Me, Don't Blame The Young Folks (For The Drug Society) which seems to be a tribute to Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin (recently deceased in the year this album was published, 1971, in the saddest year for popular music because they also died (and other great ones) and the worst that in their greatest creativity, Janis walked towards the soul, willing to be the new soul queen, Duanne with his mythical live album, etc ... the leader of The Allman Brothers Band (Duanne Allman), the Baby Huey & The Babysisters (Baby Huey), and the Dyke & The Blazers ("Dyke "Arlester Christian,in addition to legendary singles already reissued in compilations), with these people they recorded some of their most famous and great jewels Charles Wright & The Watts 103rd Rhythm Band, good that I go by other fueros ...

A Trio for Today: Love Peace & Happiness
If you're anything like me, when you pick up an LP of a fairly new group on the recording scene, you glance at the cover and then turn it over to check out what's-it-is-said-about-what's-inside. If there is something written, it's usually raving about a particular cuto or cuts. That's not my intention here. I figure it's your LP and you can listen and decide for yourself which selections are your favorites.
On the other hand, I have been giving this opportunity to express myself, so I will.
In my estimation Harvey Fuqua has again come up with a winner, this time in the persons of a fantastic new singing trio know as Love Peace & Happiness. Their first record Don't Blame The Young Folks (For The Drug Society) is definitely a tune of relevancy for today.
Let me introduce you to this talented trio .Individually they are in no way new to the entertainment secene. It goes with saying that all three have gospel backgrounds .You can hear that on some of the selections here. The group writes most of the lyrics for their tunes. Melvin and Leslie Wilson, brothers, are originally from Muskegon, Michigan. Before Love Peace & Happiness they were know as a gospel duet, Mel and Les. Mel does most of the arrangements for the trio and also plays bass. And last, but by no means last, is Ann Bogan, a little bundle of joy who illuminates anybody's stage and fills an audience with the resounding sound and feel of soul. Ann is from Detroit and was - until they broke up - a member of The Marvelettes.
If you ever get the opportunity to see this fabulous group of talented people in person, take my advice, don't miss it.
Now that all the excitement has been generated about the trio, how about some Love Peace & Happiness.
